For context, the focus of this year’s Diversity Day was not just about recognizing the ethnic diversity on campus, but celebrating the diversity of personal identities at Monta Vista — in terms of ethnicities, religions, passions, and more.

* Casual dance: wear WHITE or NEON to look snazzy under the blacklights!

* Bring your student ID and $10 at the door
* Profits benefit a charity to save lives by improving facilities in Nepal.
GREEK WEEK: BATTLE AT MOUNT OLYMPUS: Tuesday (1/17) to Friday (1/20)
* Tuesday lunch: PERFORMANCE OF THE MUSES – Musical guests, Marquesas, cheer team, and more!
* Wednesday lunch: BATTLE OF STRENGTH – sumo-suit wrestling and trestling (arm wrestling and tetris, at the same time)!
* Thursday lunch: BATTLE OF LOVE – boys vs. girls competitions, participants may receive a free Junior/Senior Prom bid or (for underclassmen) gift card to the place of their choice!
* BATTLE OF WITS: solve the riddles and physics/calculus/chemistry problems (created by Birdsong/Stark/Gupta themselves) to receive prizes like gold chocolate coins!
* DRESS-UP DAYS: Check back for more details! Help your class win!
* RALLY DAY: Battle at Mount Olympus – wear togas/chitons or white clothes! Special emblems will be awarded to classes with the most dress-up points, most participants at lunchtime, etc.
